A sophomore nursing student working part-time for a call center was raped at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday on her way home in Barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City.
Village watchmen on patrol said that they stopped near her before the incident to offer her a ride but the 18-year-old victim refused, saying she was already near her home.
But when the student was near her house, 2 unidentified men who did not wear masks approached her to ask for the time. After she answered them, one poked a knife at her. She was dragged toward a dim garage where there were several cars.
The men took her cell phone, undressed and then raped her. The rapists then threw her heans and underwear into a trash bin.
